Weekend advice for the ladies.

It's back! 

In case you missed it, Flight Facilities were Triple J's Saturday night mix residents for October so they made 4 mixes, each one covering a different decade. (This last one is 2002 - 2012). They went to amazing lengths for each mix, each set is chronological in order with classic tunes and modern edits, and cut with news reports of the time so it's like an awesome musical history lesson. It took them ages to put them together and you can check out the insane amount of research they did here.

This last mix has about 80 tracks in it and is like being driven around my own memory in a mesmerising musical Delorean. I can't even express how much I am enjoying it. IT HAS EVERYTHING. Well played FF.

Flight Facilities Triple J mix 1: 1972 - 1982

This just about sums up how I feel about Flight Facilities.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: everything Flight Facilities does makes me happy. They are Triple J's Saturday night mix residents for October so they've made 4 mixes, each one covering a different decade. (This first one is 1972 - 1982). They have gone to amazing lengths for each mix, each set is chronological in order with classic tunes and modern edits, and cut with news reports of the time so it's like an awesome musical history lesson. They have been putting them together since April, and you can check out the insane amount of research they did here. Well played FF:

I'm a little miffed as Gigamesh is touring this autumn but not coming to Dublin. I think it might be worth a jaunt over to London in November, an annual self-present I usually reserve for when Chromeo plays there. (Although Flight Facilities are touring too and not coming to Dublin OR London, and as my mate Passi lives in Rome I might have go there to see them. Poor me!)
